Augusta Amusements
After forty-one years, Augusta Amusements has been resurrected with a focus on bringing quality, family-friendly, world-class entertainment to the community while following the business practices of the original company’s founders. Augusta Amusements was always noted for its community-mindedness and charitable activities. Over the years, it donated countless thousands of dollars to a wide variety of community groups and individuals in need. The company focused on encouraging local talent while providing a stage for young entertainers to display their talents—as proven by its support of the wildly successful, Sancken Youth Review. The new Augusta Amusements returns to the company’s roots, bringing the best in live entertainment to Augusta’s performance venues, exhibiting classic films, and supporting aspiring young entertainers in the attainment of their dreams. Shows like the sold out Earl Klugh concert during Westobou Festival 2010, the unique Leon Redbone concert - another Sold Out event and the wildly popular Wizard of Oz Classic Movie Night featuring special guest Karl Slover, last of the munchkins, are just a sampling of the exciting events. Augusta Amusement is dedicated to providing the finest in theatrical and film entertainment and keeping the joy of quality family entertainment alive.
